Well fingers crossed the weather holds out long enough for me to get a magnex SS exhaust fitted and then the uprated bulbs into my fog lamps.

I then need to wait for the LED side lights to come back in stock too.... :)

The car will then get a clean and I'll post some more photos too.

Well I have the new LED's, they just need fitting and the car is booked into a garage on 29th Dec to have the exhaust done, so both will be sorted before the meet in mid January.

Will get photos before and after, hoping to finally get the OZ Racing graphics for the wheels as well... Won't get those fitted till the weather improves though as this salt is making the wheels and car look sh!te.... ;)

OMG has it really been nearly 6 months since the last update.?

Well the exhaust got fitted and now I need to poly up the front ARB and replace the suspension as its rubbish and needs to have some nice new stuff fitted instead.

The cam cover and inlet are being powder coated and the the front calipers will go in to be sorted in the next few weeks.

Then the wheels will be sent away for some TLC and a nice coat of Titanium or Light Anthracite before I fit the OZ racing stickers back onto them.

Once that lots sorted I can then start on the bodywork as its starting to show its age, especially as its used every day...!!

As soon as I start getting stuff back i'll post some photos etc to try and keep you interested as its only an RS2000. :pp

Well I painted the coil pack cover (it fits on top of the cam cover and is RED as standard)

Well mines gone green.!!!

It isn't finished as it needs some laqueur and a good polish to give it a bit more shine and then I need to get the RS2000 16V graphics put back on in charcoal grey.

The wheels are booked in for a refurb on the 28th July and hopefully should come out looking like this...

Image
I'm hoping the wheel should be ready for the meet on Wednesday 03rd August.

Also had to change the colour of the coil pack cover to Modena green,

so against the charcoal grey on the cam cover it should look like this, and I'm just waiting for some charcoal grey graphics for it to come back.

Right, spent all day today cleaning, claying and polishing the car ready for the wheels to come back this week and then to head down to the pub for this weeks meet.

While my wheels are being refurbed, Paul (with a red Mk5 RS2000 that came to an earlier meet) loaned me his standard Mk5 Rims.

Turns out my OZ rims are scrap as they are damaged and not worth repairing so I have just brought myself a set of 17" Team Dynamic Monza R's, they need some light refurbing and are a bronze/gold colour, so not ideal, but they I need the wheels and they will be made dark anthracite as originally planned, its just that the plan has had to be postponded.

All being well I'll be coming to the meet tomorrow running on them.

Well the changes seem to be never ending on this....

I'm now running on Mondeo Zetec 16" rims as I hated the Monza R's. I have painted them a charcoal grey and here are a couple of photos.

The car is still running pretty rough at the moment as well so I'll be cleaning the ISCV and I also have a new engine loom being made for me at the moment as thats a known fault with these. If that doesn't sort it there could an air leak somewhere.

Also I have newish engine and gearbox mounts that I need to sort out before getting fitted, but these things are typical for an RS... LOL
